Add 4 oz of cream cheese to a bowl. Whip with a hand mixer.
Add 1 cup of strawberry compote. Blend with hand mixer until well combined.
Stir in 4 oz of Cool Whip until well combined.
Stir in 1 tbsp strawberry simple syrup.
Serve in a small bowl with a strawberry garnish and cookies or pretzels.
Strawberry Compote + Strawberry Syrup
In a small saucepan, bring 1 cup of water to a simmer.
Add 1 cup of sugar. Stir until sugar dissolves.
Add 1.5 cups of frozen strawberries. Simmer until strawberries become mushy. About 5 minutes.
Drain excess syrup into jar and chill. This is strawberry simple syrup.
Chill compote in refrigerator until cool.
