Wookie Cookies

Combine room-temperature butter, granulated sugar, light brown sugar, and vanilla in a large bowl with an electric hand mixer until they reach a smooth consistency.

Stir the eggs into the creamed butter and sugar.

Add the cocoa powder to the wet ingredients.

Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl.

Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. Mix by hand, or with a mixer, until the flour is well incorporated.

Add chocolate chips and oatmeal to the batter and stir.

Use a 1-inch cookie scoop to scoop out the cookie dough. Gently press each ball down using your fingers.

Place the dough balls on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.

Remove the cookies from the oven and allow them to cool completely.

Use black icing to draw a bandolier diagonally across each cookie. Add 4 silver dots using Silver Metallic Gel Icing.
