Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
Combine softened cream cheese and sour cream in a large mixing bowl. Mix by hand or use an electric hand mixer.
Stir in the ranch seasoning by hand using a rubber spatula or spoon.
Add the chicken to the bowl and combine it with the cream cheese mixture.
Add three-quarters of the shredded cheese to the mixture. Set aside the remaining cheese for later.
Add most of the bacon and green onions to the bowl. Set aside about 2 tablespoons of chopped bacon and green onion.
Transfer the uncooked dip to a baking dish and top with the remaining cheese.
Bake uncovered for 20 minutes.
Top the cooked dip with the remaining chopped bacon and green onion.
