Instructions
1 Cut a large green apple in half. Remove the core and cut into thin slices. 10 Pour lemon juice over the apple slices. 2 In a medium bowl combine sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Add the apples and toss in the sugar mixture until every apple slice is thoroughly coated. 3 Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. 11 Open the Crescent Roll pastry dough. Separate the dough into triangles using the perforated edges. 4 Place 3-4 apple slices, covered in the sugar mixture, at the large end of each triangle and drizzle a bit of the mixture down the length of the triangle. 5 Roll each triangle into the traditional Crescent Roll shape. Tuck the dough around the edges to help keep the apples inside. 6 Place the rolled apple pie bites on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 12 minutes until golden brown. 7 Melt 1/4 cup of vanilla icing in the microwave in a small bowl. Drizzle the icing over the tops of the finished apple pie bites.*For a little extra spooky fun add a few drops of green food coloring to the icing!* 9 Add two candy eyes to each Halloween Apple Pie Bite.View original recipe
