Attempts at Domestication

0 Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. 
1 Combine room-temperature butter, granulated sugar, light brown sugar, and vanilla in a large bowl with an electric hand mixer until they reach a smooth consistency.
2 Stir the eggs into the creamed butter and sugar.
3 Add the cocoa powder to the wet ingredients.
4 Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl.
5 Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. Mix by hand, or with a mixer, until the flour is well incorporated.
6 Add chocolate chips and oatmeal to the batter and stir.
7 Use a 1-inch cookie scoop to scoop out the cookie dough. Gently press each ball down using your fingers.
8 Place the dough balls on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.
9 Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
10 Remove the cookies from the oven and allow them to cool completely.
11 Use black icing to draw a bandolier diagonally across each cookie. Add 4 silver dots using Silver Metallic Gel Icing.
